How to use

  1. Choose or drop an Excel file (.xlsx, .xls) or an .ods spreadsheet.
  2. If it has several sheets, pick one, or all of them as a ZIP.
  3. Pick the separator and the encoding, check the preview, then download.

Frequently asked questions

Comma or semicolon?

Most portals and apps expect a comma. Some European versions of Excel expect a semicolon; use Tab if the data itself is full of commas.

Hindi text looks broken when I open the CSV in Excel.

Choose “UTF-8 for Excel”. It adds a small marker at the start of the file that tells Excel the text is UTF-8. Leave it off for uploads unless the portal asks for it.

What happens to formulas and dates?

A CSV holds values only, so each formula is saved as its result. Dates are written as YYYY-MM-DD, which every program reads the same way.

My portal gave me an .xls file that is really a web page. Does it work?

Yes. Many portals export HTML or XML tables named .xls; those are read too.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. ConvertRight runs entirely in your browser. Your file is processed on your own phone or computer and is never sent to a server.
