Add a watermark to a PDF
Mark copies of Aadhaar, PAN, certificates or agreements with who they are for, so they can’t be reused somewhere else. Type the text first, then add the PDF.

Why watermark an ID copy?
A plain copy of your Aadhaar or PAN can be reused for a SIM card or a loan without your knowledge. A copy that says who it was for and when is much harder to misuse.
Can the watermark be removed?
It is drawn as a picture on each page, not as text, so it can’t be selected and deleted like a text box. Someone with editing software could still work on the file, so use “All over” for important papers.
Can I write in Hindi or another language?
Yes. The text is drawn with your device’s fonts, so Hindi, Tamil, Bengali and other scripts work.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
